Meals in Iceland

Iceland: Meals

Food is a cause to celebrate in Iceland!
Each year in Iceland in late February, there is held a week-long festival to promote local restaurants and bars throughout the capital city of Reykjavik.
The best Icelandic chefs and brew masters congregate and share Iceland’s best caviar, lamb, cheese, and shrimp.
Special Icelandic menus are created for the week, and travelers and locals flock from all around to taste the best of the best.
Traditionally, meals in Iceland adhere to the typical modern schedule of 3 meals a day, but during the food festivals, people generally break the rules and feast all day long.
